Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began to train in the sports of combat. Aspen Ladd trained in BJJ, kickboxing, boxing and wrestling before making her debut as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd became more confident after this win and won 3 fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell in the 1st round. In WCFC Ladd fought, she defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia had a superior record to Aspen in the fight, beating her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's record as an amateur was marred. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent bout with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 record. Aspen started her professional career in 2015, signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and dominated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta 16 saw her move into the Bantamweight division after winning her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used the superior skills she had learned in wrestling to beat McGill. She ended her bout via an KO (3rd round) (elbows as well as punches). Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at weight of catchweight (138.1lb), as Ladd did not have enough weight. However, Aspen was able to take on Hoy. She won with a TKO after the second round. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion by unanimous decision. Her UFC debut took place in UFC Fight Night 118 when she took on Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina and then pounded her on the ground in the second round to secure a TKO victory. Her dominance grew and she got a bigger win during her next fight against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd defeated Evinger by a punch in the initial round, and was awarded the Bonus Performance of the Night. Her first major fight came in her next fight at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos in which she faced. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. The two fighters put on a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd taking a unanimous win and both fighters getting the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to end Ladd and her streak. The third time she fought on UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In a last-minute substitute for her UFC bout, she fought Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. It was a loss by unanimous decision.
