Her birthplace was in Santa Monica, California on the 26th of November 1986. She is the daughter of her father Vincenzo Barba and mother Valerie Barba. In the year 2006, she and her parents moved with their family to Point Pleasant New Jersey. In terms of her education, she finished her education at Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey. After graduating of Catholic University with a Bachelor's in Architecture She continued to pursue her studies at the university. Since the age of four, she has been a violinist"Violingirl" was her nickname. Because of her talent her performance, she received this name. She taught violin lessons to children in the neighbourhood. She also sang Free from 1976 in her audition for the sixth season of American Idol at the age of 19.
