Shailene Woodley is an American actress and activist. In The Descendants, she played Alexandra King, an addicted teenager. Shailene continued to be awe-inspiring following her highly acclaimed performance in The Descendants. Shailene managed to get an important position within the film industry at a young age in her career. This is an achievement in itself. Starting her career by appearing in TV shows and commercials and later, she was able to play prominent roles in Hollywood films. She won a number of prizes for her outstanding acting, including MTV Movie Awards. Some other prestigious awards like those of the BAFTA Awards and Golden Globe Awards have also been given to her. Apart from being a successful performer, Shailene Woodley is also an environmentalist and activist. Together with her mother, she co-founded All it Takes a non profit organization in 2010.
