tony gonzalez-5-1024x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was conceived in Torrance on February 27th the year 1976. Gonzalez was born in southern California. He was a student at Huntington Beach High School and was a top football and basketball player. Gonzalez continued to excel in these sports at University of California, Berkeley. He was instrumental in guiding the football team to the 1996 Aloha Bowl. There, Gonzalez set a record at the school for receptions with nine, and tied it. Gonzalez led the basketball team to the Sweet 16 of NCAA basketball tournament only a few months later. After graduating from highschool in 1997, he was selected for the NFL Draft. The Kansas City Chiefs selected Gonzalez as the 13th overall selection. Gonzalez was part of the Chiefs from 1997 until 2008. The Chiefs sold Gonzalez to the Atlanta Falcons. After Gonzalez's first NFL season, he threw no less than 59 passes every season.
